Yamaha Motoroid2 prototype – ‘personal mobility concept’
When Yamaha first announced what it planned to bring to the Japan Mobility Show 2023, without a doubt the vehicle that attracted the most attention on display was the Motoroid2 reference prototype. This is an evolution of the original Motoroid that was first presented at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2017.
Since that show was the predecessor to the JMS, it’s fitting that the first JMS event should be the place where Yamaha saw fit to showcase the advances it has made over the past six years. The first iteration of the Motoroid heralded the prototype’s ability to recognize its owner and interact with him “like a living being”. It’s a concept that probably seemed more distant in 2017 than in 2023.
To show the capabilities of the Motoroid2 in 2023, Yamaha created this video. The theme of this year’s presentation, which is supposed to encompass everything Yamaha brought to the show, is “feeling life”. You’re not just supposed to look at life. You’re supposed to live it, and Yamaha’s products are supposed to enhance your enjoyment in many ways.
